<p>Ethics or Regulations Course - The AML, Client Privacy, Corruption Risk and Family OfficeModule:"Practical Guide of Customer Data Protection for Insurance Industry, and operating experience sharing"Upon successful subscription, you can complete the course within 60 days, but you must complete it before end of the course period.In Hong Kong where the awareness of protecting self privacy is extremely high, insurance agents and brokers are very vulnerable to complains once their clients become unsatisfied with their personal data being processed. This course is designed to share numerous real complaint cases and court cases in relation to personal data handling. Licensed insurance agents or brokers are not only expected by the Insurance Authority to collect and use clients' information very carefully, agents and brokers must also be cautious not to disclose or transfer client's information which may lead to serious client complainants or even criminal investigation referred by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.Supported by various real court cases or complaints made by customers, you will know the good practice of: collect customer's personal data; use and transfer customer's personal data; handling customer's request to retrieve his personal data that was provided to your company; handle customer's opt-out request; performing direct marketing or cold call by using customer's personal data. After completing this course, you will have a good understanding of the SIX personal data protection principles, and how to perform legitimate marketing activities.</p>
<p>An introduction to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data who is the governing regulator of privacy issues in Hong Kong. For insurance agents or brokers who have clients from Europe, they must have a basic understanding of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation, which has been enforced since 2018.The SIX data protection principles, in relation to the collection, use, retention, transfer of personal data, and the request made by the data owner. Real cases will be used to elaborate how you should apply the SIX principles in daily work. The privacy concerns over direct marketing and cold calls. Detailed elaboration of real complaint cases about clients' data amendment requests, sharing clients' data for marketing activities, use of clients' data without proper consent and so on.</p>
